Adult Education

While it is important to educate the youth of today about caring for our earth, it is also evident that adults of today need improved knowledge and skills with regards to our environment. As a result, the Treasure Beach Education centre also offers all the previously mentioned courses for adult groups. In addition, Treasure Beach also offers the
popular Environmental Educators Course.

The Environmental Educators Course or ‘Enviro‐Eds’, is an accredited course earning participants 12 National Qualification Framework credits at Level 5.
The Environmental Educators Course considers approaches to environmental teaching and learning. This course is popular amongst teachers, environmental educators and trainers. The contact time for the course is 5 days and consists mostly of fieldwork activities, giving it a strong hands‐on focus. A wide variety of methods and approaches to environmental education are explored during the contact sessions.
On completion of the 5 day course, participants have two months to complete a ‘Portiolio of Evidence’. This is made up of contact tutorials and workplace‐based assignments as evidence to meet the requirements of the course.
